I am: optimistic, positive, and useful
What I do: I advise colleges and other institutions about issues around student success and achievement, including careers. My favorite thing about my job is seeing students succeed!
My "career path": My "path" was non-traditional (like most people's). I spent a dozen years in the corporate world and then went back to school to earn a doctorate (Ph.D.). Since earning my doctorate, I've spent 20 years as a dean and academic administrator at institutions from New York University (NYU) to Princeton University to Hunter College.
My favorite things outside of work: Entertaining, reading, needlework. Mealtimes and traditions are also very important to me.
Tips for a successful girlfuture:
• Don't be afraid to make changes until you find what you're good at and enjoy.
