I am: passionate, determined, down-to-earth
What I do: I am the President of the Women’s Media Center (WMC). The WMC was founded in 2005 as a non-profit progressive women's media organization by writers/activists Jane Fonda, Robin Morgan, and Gloria Steinem. The WMC makes women visible and powerful in the media.
I lead WMC campaigns, manage a $1 million budget, and provide vision and planning for the growth of the organization.
My “career path”: My first job was as an office manager of an interior design firm. My first campaign-related job was as a Volunteer Coordinator for a US Senate Campaign. I started out working with grassroots organizations, realized the impact that media can make and decided to use media as a primary tool for advocacy.
My favorite thing outside of work: Singing country music.
