I am: energetic, strong, peaceful
What I do: I am the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Teton County Library. I oversee short and long-term planning, policy development, personnel, budget, and daily operations. I love that I am surrounded by people who are as passionate as I am about intellectual freedom, literacy, and lifelong learning!
My “career path”: I started as a branch librarian 22 years ago and loved it so much that I decided I wanted to take my love of libraries and all that they stand for to another level and make a career in libraries.
My favorite things outside of work: I love to hike, garden, backpack, scuba dive, cross-country ski, and, of course, read.
Tips for a successful girlfuture:
• I have reached a place in my life where I fully recognize the value of each aspect of my life. I understand I need time spent in each area in order to be a full person. I see that when I bring that well-rounded person to any endeavor, then I am fully present and giving my best. Amazingly, being fully present to each event seems to take much less time than trying to do many things at once.
