I am: inquisitive, perceptive, principled
What I do: I am the Editor of the Jackson Hole Daily. It is my job to produce a daily newspaper: determine content, budget stories and manage/cultivate reporters, copy editors, assistant editors, salespeople, artists, production and creative services staff. Each day is new and challenging!
My “career path”: I took a circuitous path to my career. My schooling and training was as a psychologist, but the work left me restive and unsatisfied. My current position came quite by accident: I became friendly with the publisher and editor of a new free daily newspaper. After many conversations, I was asked to join the team, and the rest as they say is history.
My favorite things outside of work: Walking, biking, cross country skiing and the like, getting together with friends, reading, listening to music, volunteering for various organizations.
Tips for a successful girlfuture:
• Be proud that you are the eyes and ears for your community.
• Be forward thinking.
