I am: ambitious, funny, & loyal
What I do: I’m in charge of managing the projects from start to finish for my team. That includes everything from meeting with clients to find out what they need to presenting the results when the research is finished. No day is ever the same! I work with a great group of people, who are not only very smart and dedicated, but also a lot of fun to be around. I also travel a lot to meet with clients – so I’m always going to new places.
My “career path”: When I was little, I always wanted to be a children’s book author or a journalist – I loved writing stories. As I got older, I became very interested in politics and government. In college, I decided to explore both fields by double majoring in Communications/Journalism and Political Science.
After college, I decided to try and combine the two things by working at a research/strategy firm that coordinates both political campaigns and corporate advertising campaigns. My current job allows me to work on both political research and broader, more mainstream research (like testing out advertisements for companies like McDonalds), so I get the best of both worlds.
My favorite things outside of work: I love watching and playing sports – especially running and Michigan football (Go Blue!). I have a great group of friends I explore Washington D.C. with, go to see movies with, and go out to eat with at fun restaurants. And I love to kick back with a good book on the weekends.
Tips for a successful girlfuture:
• It’s always great to have goals and dreams – but don’t worry too much if you haven’t discovered what you want to do yet – you have lots of time to figure it out (and exploring new things is half the fun!).
• Love what you are doing, but always stay open to exploring new ideas and experiences.
